The largest Russian ad space - Avito last year showed revenue growth of 79% compared with 2013. For the entire 2014, Avito managed to earn 4.3 billion rubles.
The company's largest shareholder, the Kinnevik Fund, reported this in a report on the company's performance over the past reporting period. EBITDA profitability (profit before taxes, depreciation and interest on loans) in the last quarter of 2014 amounted to 489 million rubles, the fund does not disclose the company's net profit.
In an interview with RBC, Raiffeisenbank analyst Sergei Libin suggested that the slowdown in Avito growth may be due to the devaluation of the ruble and at the same time strong sales from offline retailers in the previous quarter. Avito's main profit comes from sales of banner advertising and user payments for advertisements. Shares of the distribution of profits in the channels are not disclosed.
Kinnevik separately noted that in October-December, Avito made significant investments in marketing, including an advertising campaign on TV, its final cost is unknown. After rebranding in the second half of 2014, Avito is divided into several services: “Avito. Services, Avito. Work "," Avito. Auto and Avito. Real Estate ”, having redesigned all the structures.
