Yota Devices establishes a joint venture with the Chinese company Jielan LTD
According to RBC, YotaPhone Devices and Chinese retailers signed a new agreement on the distribution of devices in China. Moreover, the partners plan to create a joint venture.
The partner of Yota Devices is Jielan LTD. The decision on cooperation was taken at the economic forum in Boao. The joint venture is created in order to provide quality service YotaPhone in China, as well as to more effectively promote and organize sales.
In this regard, the YotaPhone 2 model adapted for Chinese users will be released, which was presented by the head of Yota Devices Vladislav Martynov at the forum.

"Yota Devices lays the foundation for the formation in Russia of a new industry - the development of high-tech gadgets, an example of Yota Devices could be a catalyst for the development of the consumer electronics industry," says First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov.
"The growing interest of users in the Asian region to conceptually new devices indicates the timeliness of investment in a joint venture with a Chinese partner," said Vladislav Martynov.
The remaining details of the agreement are not disclosed. YotaPhone 2 will start selling in China in the second quarter of 2015.
This contract with Chinese companies is not the first for Yota Devices. It is known that on February 11, 2015, the company signed a contract with the Chinese distributor Potevio. It is planned to sell about 1 million YotaPhone 2 smartphones in a year and a half. Yota Devices notes that this is “one of the largest deals in the history of the supply of Russian high-tech equipment in the field of consumer electronics to China.”
