According
to the newspaper "Kommersant", from March 27, 2015 introduced a customs duty for small exports of parcels or letters worth from 0 to 200 euros. This innovation will affect only legal entities that use the services of express operators for forwarding. "Mail of Russia" will not be affected.
For each shipment, issued in electronic form, the fee will be 750 rubles, and for the shipment, issued on paper, - 1 000 rubles.
“Courier companies are now exporting 400-500 parcels from a single register each day from the Russian Federation. Then they are loaded on regular evening flights and sent to the destination. Now we have to issue a separate credit order for each shipment, this will seriously slow down the process at customs and complicate regular shipment of cargoes by flights, ”Vladimir Sarkisov, president of the Express Carriers Association, told Kommersant.
')
“This measure of the Federal Customs Service puts the work of the express transportation industry as a whole under real threat,” said Pony Express Operations Director Yury Kelebeyev.
The introduction of the new customs duty was initiated by the Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service Tatyana Golendeeva on March 25.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, March 24, First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov spoke with the President’s proposals on liberalizing foreign trade and simplifying the procedure for exporting civilian goods.
Also on March 25,
a round table
was held with German Klimenko and Dmitry Strashnov, General Director of the FSUE Russian Post, where Klimenko proposed to create a “Russian Amazon”.
However, the current situation may affect Russian online stores that sell goods for export. For example, the bookstore Ozon.ru sends 1% of books to foreign buyers.
On March 26, it turned out that Strashnov was interested in Klimenko’s proposal. And, since the new fees do not apply to export through the Post of Russia, the Russian online store, which will receive the support of Post, will be in more favorable terms than its competitors.
