Uber office in Amsterdam searches

Uber’s office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, began searches yesterday. The inspection was carried out by inspectors from the Ministry of Transport of the Netherlands, writes "Kommersant-Gazeta" . The purpose of the search is to list the names of drivers who do not have a special license, but cooperate with an online service. Earlier, the court ruled that ordinary motorists were prohibited from working in a taxi service. This requires a special license.

Despite the ban of the court, Uber company has repeatedly been convicted of violating this ruling. Police of the Netherlands several times stopped ordinary drivers who were engaged in the carriage of passengers within the framework of the Uber-pop service, violating the relevant law. The company itself was already fined $ 100 thousand, however, the company continued to cooperate with drivers without a license. Moreover, Uber has expanded its UberPop service to other cities, including Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht.

In response to law enforcement, Uber representatives in the Netherlands make claims that investments are not welcome in the country and that the data of customers of any company are not safe.

In addition to the Netherlands, the UberPop service was banned in Germany and some other countries. Taxi drivers with a license have repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of Uber, and now discontent is turning into a separate confrontation in some regions. Thus, over the past few days there have been incidents in Brussels and Amsterdam.
