An alternative cable sewage system will be built in Moscow for leasing infrastructure to operators

Moscow authorities will develop the underground communications infrastructure and lease it to operators, Vedomosti reports . As part of the improvement program, My Street will conduct trunk canals along the streets and equip the sewage system.

The price of 1 meter of space for the cable at the Interindustry Production and Technology Center, subordinated to the Moscow Department of Information Technologies, is up to 4.5 rubles per month. According to Artem Yermolaev, the head of the department, the cost will not change.

MGTS for rent takes 4.85 rubles without VAT per 1 meter - this price is lower than that of other organizations. The representative of MGTS notes that the network welcomes initiatives aimed at promoting competition.

Moscow is planning not only to build a new sewage system, but also to restore control over the existing, but not got to the balance of the city. At the moment, the authorities control up to 15% of this infrastructure, but the DIT plans to take over 60% of communications under the control of cadastral registration of unowned sewage systems.
