Obama Meets Silicon Valley Leaders

US President Barack Obama held a business lunch with the leaders of the largest IT corporations. The meeting was held in the house of John Doerre, co-owner of the venture capital company Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in the suburb of San Francisco.

Among those present were Steve Jobs (Apple), Eric Schmidt (Google), Larry Ellison (Oracle), Carol Bartz (Yahoo!), Dick Costolo (Twitter), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook).

This meeting is part of our ongoing dialogue with the business community about how we can work together to win the future, strengthen our economy, support entrepreneurship, increase our exports and provide jobs for Americans. The president and business leaders will discuss our common goal of promoting American innovation, and discuss his contribution to new investments in research and development, education, and clean energy.
