FSB is ready to close Wikileaks

Yesterday it became known that Wikileaks is going to publish some secret documents "about the political situation in Russia", and today received a comment from the FSB in this regard.

"If desired, and the appropriate team, his [WikiLeaks resource] can be made inaccessible forever," said an expert at the Center for Information Security of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, he added that he doubted the authenticity of many documents on Wikileaks. They say that recently the site’s employees have personally added security marks to documents, and more than 40% of information from Wikileaks can be found using search engines on the Internet.

WikiLeaks spokesperson Kristin Hrafnson, in an interview with Marker, replied that the threats of the Russian security forces did not frighten him. “The FSB can block access to our page, but many other sites spread the materials of the resource, so it’s almost impossible to completely block the path to information,” he said.

It must be said that the FSB has the experience of closing "malicious" sites. For example, the Kavkaz Center website can only be accessed through anonymous proxies. The site is hosted in Sweden, like Wikileaks, but all Russian providers have blocked access to it at the request of the FSB.
