Sooner or later, site owners begin to think about protecting their rights to content. In addition, sites creating their own content are interested in facilitating the receipt of copyright materials. All this can contribute to the registration of the media, in our case - the electronic.

Media registration is handled by the FEDERAL SERVICE FOR SUPERVISION IN THE FIELD OF COMMUNICATIONS, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES AND MASS COMMUNICATIONS (ROSCOMNADZOR). Their representatives are present in all regions of Russia, but only Moscow deals with the registration of electronic media. In general, in the case of a regional resource, it seems logical to register as a regional media, but as commented by employees of the local branches of Roskomnadzor: “You cannot register as a regional media if there is only a website.” Option with “Print a newspaper once and have a website” consider, but there is a risk to run into the check of Roskomnadzor.

So, we decided to register the electronic media. There are two options - surrender to intermediaries who will conduct the registration services for us, or register the media on their own.

Registration through intermediaries - the cost of intermediary services in various regions of our vast country ranges from 5 to 35 thousand rubles, you pay all fees yourself. As practice shows, the services of an intermediary consist in purchasing a folder - folder, drawing up an application, inserting copies of documents sent by you and sending it all by mail to Roskomnadzor. Given this fact, it is at least unwise to pay services to intermediaries.

Self Registration Media

So, we decided to register the media, we need the following sets of documents:

for legal entity
1) Statement (about it below);
2) Receipt (a copy of the payment with the bank mark of payment) on the payment of state duty
3) Copy * of extracts from the Unified Statements;
4) Copy * of the Charter;
5) Document the actual address (sample below).
6) It is advisable to attach a copy * of the certificate of registration in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and a certificate for the assignment of TIN.
7) Layout of the publication (only if erotic media is registered)

for individuals

3) Photocopy * passports
4) Document the actual address.

* All copies are notarized, the approximate cost of certifying a set of documents for legal entities (Articles of Association, extract from the register, copies of certificates of TIN and OGRN assignment) - 800 rubles, for an individual (photocopy of a passport) - 500 rubles.

The size of state registration fees for mass media is 3000 rubles.

When registering advertising media (advertising more than 20% of the site area) the duty increases 5 times

When registering an erotic media, the amount of duty increases by 10 times.

After 30 + X days (the passage of the parcel post there), we have a piece of paper with the cherished number.
