The company InterDigital last summer sold a package of patents to Intel, but apparently still kept a lot of ammunition to attack four new targets: Huawei, Nokia, Samsung and ZTE, reports Engadget. The company is asking to ban sales of "some 3G and 4G wireless devices ... that violate up to seven US patents InterDigital."

All the 3G and 4G products of these companies, from USB modems to laptops and from phones to tablets, were at risk. The InterDigital statement does not mention specific models, but the company asks the US International Trade Commission to block the import and sale of all infringing devices.

This is not the first time that Samsung, Nokia and Huawei are confronted with InterDigital - the first reached an agreement with the patent troll back in 2008, the last filed a lawsuit against him this year, and Nokia had a long legal process with him - and that This suggests that not the last.

RIM, which continued the licensing agreement with InterDigital, and Sony, which signed a similar agreement today, decided to stay away from the battle.
