Edward Snowden gave a Christmas message on the British TV channel

In his short address, Snowden said that a child born in modern society will no longer have a clue about confidentiality, and this is exactly what George Orwell warned about.

“Our children will not know what it means to be alone with themselves, to have thoughts that are not recorded or analyzed. And this is a problem because privacy matters, ”Snowden said.

He called on society and governments to work together to restore the right to privacy and put an end to mass surveillance. “If governments really want to know what we think, then it is always cheaper to ask than to spy,” said Snowden, after which he wished Merry Christmas.
