Microsoft sets the price for an online office: $ 15 per month

Microsoft, which is gradually transferring software to an online platform, has announced a price list for Internet services for corporate customers. The base cost of one online “workplace” in Microsoft Online Services, including an online Exchange Online mailbox, as well as SharePoint Online, Communications Online, and Live Meeting, is $ 15 per month. For the time being, the offer is available only for American companies, and for the rest the “online office” will open in the first half of 2009.

Thus, the annual subscription to Microsoft Online Services will cost about $ 180. For comparison, a similar service Google Apps costs $ 50 per year. Microsoft managers explain the difference in price by the fact that their development outperforms the competitor in terms of functionality.

True, the company will also sell “lightweight” Deskless Worker Suite jobs, which include only the mail client and SharePoint. It will cost only $ 3 per month.

Attracting customers is planned not only on their own. Microsoft announced the terms of the affiliate program, according to which partners will be deducted 18% of the subscription price in the first year, as well as 6% each over the following years, while the contract is valid.
