Clean Mighty Mouse neater

A long time ago I made a bookmark for a very good description of the operation on the Mighty Mouse. Today I had to dig and find it, because the time has come to open this device.

I will not copy the text and upload the pictures, because the country must know its heroes (or rather heroines). Here is this useful wonder link.

Why did you decide to open the mouse? First, the wheel ceased to rotate normally in one direction. Secondly, there was a feeling that the ball kind of sank, so it was also inconvenient to twist it.

Before that I tried cleaning with different methods. At first, the rotation of the wheel on a rag helped, then tried on paper. But the moment came when all efforts did not lead to anything.

I was still going to try a series of scotch tricks,


but it didn't work out ...

The opening went like clockwork. But what I saw somewhat disappointed me:

* rubber lining was rubbed, without it, click the wheel is not possible.


* the red part is marked with red *
* The foot was lifted off, raising the ball.


* red is a break line *

The moral of this story: when cleaning the mouse on a rag or paper, be careful, do not make efforts - they can harm. I have no doubt that the described breakdowns occurred precisely with this cleaning:
