The Worldwide Blog Contest Determined Favorites
The jury of the global competition of Internet diaries Best Of Blogs, organized by Deutsche Welle, has identified 150 nominees in 15 categories. According to the results of the preliminary selection of nominees, Russian Internet projects managed to become one of the favorites of BOB. In addition to the nomination “The Best Blog in Russian”, domestic blogs fell into the list of contenders for victory in two other categories - the main prize of BOB “The Best Weblog” (“Wooden Russia”) and the category maintained by the organization “Reporters Without Borders” (“ Journal of Vera Vasilyeva ").
In 2006, 5,500 applications were submitted to the competition - almost twice as many as a year ago. The international jury of the competition includes journalists, media researchers and, directly, bloggers themselves. Anyone can influence the fate of applicants for awards, taking part in the electronic voting on the project website .
