Founder TechCrunch left the publication in the venture capital fund

Michael Arrington resigned as TechCrunch technolog editor (one of the most popular sources for Habré news). He will lead a venture capital fund with a capital of $ 20 million under the management of AOL's parent company and other venture capital firms.

Arrington "will continue to write for TechCrunch, but will not have any control over the editors," an AOL spokesman told The Wall Street Journal. Eric Schonfeld, who was co-editor of TechCrunch, will be a temporary editor until a replacement is found.

The Arrington Foundation, named CrunchFund, will receive investments including from Accel Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Austin Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Greylock Partners and Sequoia Capital.

When AOL bought TechCrunch in 2010, Arrington said that he would remain on the blog for at least three years.
