Swedish startup
Twingly has launched a private beta version of an innovative
blog search engine that they want to be the largest search engine in Europe. In addition to supporting European languages, its feature is the "social" ranking algorithm, which filters 99.99% of spam.
Spamming blogs that earn contextual advertising have become a real damnation of the blogosphere. They use the weaknesses of specialized search engines and, by the most popular requests, have already fully occupied the first pages of search results there. A normal solution to this problem does not yet exist, so here Twingly has quite good prospects.
Before inclusion in the "white list" every blog is checked for incoming and outgoing links. Inclusion in there occurs only if it receives direct or indirect links from other “clean” blogs. The ranking also takes into account the number of links from "clean" blogs, as shown in the
screenshot . As for the general search index, moderators monitor the issue, which can remove a whole cluster of spam blogs from the index with one click of the mouse.

There are 450,000 blogs in the white list and it is growing at 1000 per day. You can try to include your blog there using
this link . After a maximum of 30 minutes, you will find out how spamming the Twingly engine considers you. Invites are issued in turn, but in large quantities (here is a working
direct link through TechCrunch ), so there are no special problems with this.
