Following the development trends of video on the Internet, CNews launches its TV channel CNews.Tv . This is, of course, a wonderful move and an excellent marketing solution, but will it be demanded by users?

And in this case, the problem is not in the content - CNews has never been uninteresting, their news always deserves attention. The problem is that consumers of online broadcasting will make up a very small part of the audience. After all, broadband access in the Internet is not at all, and for comfortable viewing this channel, even on average (i.e., the worst) quality, requires 400 Kb / s bandwidth, this corresponds to a connection at a speed exceeding three megabits. The resolution of the image will be 468x263 pixels.

So this step is rather an advertising move than a serious innovation. In practice, the online TV channel is unlikely to become popular in the next few years.
