As follows from an interview with Bloomberg, Executive Vice President Tero Oyanpera (Tero Ojanpera), Nokia will share revenue with mobile operators in its phones and Come with Music service:
"... In cases when we cooperate with operators, the service will be organized so that they can get a part ... The sale of mobile music by and large does not work today. Music was more a marketing tool. Creating a new business that will soon bring billions of dollars , it is something completely different ... "
As part of this project, Nokia plans to sell phones that come with a free annual subscription to music (so far it is known about agreements with Universal Music, negotiations are underway with the rest of the labels). Music (DRM) can be downloaded without restriction and listen on your phone and PC. After a year, you can renew your subscription for an additional fee.
It seems that Nokia really wants to base its iPhone model. Such an approach for “Comes with Music” looks quite logical - to negotiate with the operators on the creation of special tariffs with unlimited 3G traffic for downloading music.
