The Associated Press news agency, in a
letter to its subscribers, announced that it would begin to put links to blogs in its news, if they were primary sources of information. Previously, the agency, in its news, referred only to print media, websites and TV and radio companies.
Separately, a place is specified in the material in which the link will be located. This does not have to be the beginning of the text - the link can stand in the middle of the news.
Interestingly, according to sociologists, almost all journalists and editors use social networks and blogs as sources of information for their materials. For example, according to a
study conducted in the United States by Cision and the George Washington University, 89% of journalists use blogs for searching information, 65% use social networks, 61% use Wikipedia, and 52% use microblogging platforms like Twitter.
