According
to Interfax, yesterday, March 25, 2015, German Klimenko, Chairman of the Council of the Internet Development Institute, raised the question of why Russia does not have a domestic equivalent of services such as Amazon.
“Where is our“ Russian Amazon ”? Alibaba is, Ebay is, they are now delivering hundreds of thousands of packages to the territory of Russia, but nothing goes in the opposite direction. It seems that nothing is produced in Russia, nothing is being sold, ”Klimenko complains.
Dmitry Strashnov, Director General of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian Post”, made a proposal to arrange a working meeting, to invite representatives of ministries there who could influence the decision to create a “Russian Amazon”.
')
Klimenko believes that the solution of the issue “involves three structures: the Central Bank; FCS, which should quickly process it; and a structure associated with the Ministry of Culture, which must state that the product being shipped is not a cultural object. ”
"I propose to hold a working meeting together with the Federal Customs Service (FCS) and simply disassemble the whole algorithm for exporting such single products, invite Ebay there," said Strashnov at an expanded meeting of the Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, which took place yesterday in State Duma.
Strashnov and Klimenko believe that this important issue, "which has never been raised by anyone."
We are talking not only about the absence of Russian Internet services that could compete with foreign e-commerce services at least in the Russian market, but also about the fact that we do not use a promising channel for exporting goods abroad.
Klimenko
wrote on his Facebook:
“Retail exports are an important and second topic of today's meeting. I tried to formulate that, without the ability of customs, to throw out individual parcels for a minimum price (which our foreign friends Alibaba, Ebey, etc.) learned to do for a long time, it will not be possible to build our Russian Amazon ”.
Recall that Herman Klimenko, the creator of Liveinternet.ru, headed the board of the Internet Development Institute, which
began work about two weeks ago. One of the top priorities of the new organization is to help domestic Internet companies to effectively interact with the authorities.
