Parallels allocates cloud technologies to a separate brand.

According to CNews, Parallels divisions of cloud solutions and work with service providers are divided into a separate brand called Odin. Divisions related to cross-platform solutions will continue their work under the Parallels brand.



The company explains its decision to rebrand that work under two different brands will improve the quality of customer service, as well as respond faster to market changes.



The Odin brand will provide such services as industry expertise, web server management, server virtualization, cloud service ordering and billing automation (Service Automation, Plesk Automation, Odin Business Automation Standard, Virtuozzo). Odin has offices in 15 countries around the world.

Parallels will continue to deal with such products as Parallels Desktop for Mac (solution for running Windows applications on Mac without rebooting) and Parallels Access (application for remote access to PC files from mobile devices).



In February of this year, Parallels acquired 2X Software. So, the Parallels product portfolio includes products designed to run Windows on devices with an arbitrary operating system, as well as software for managing mobile devices.



Parallels is based in Russia. It was founded in the 2000s by Nikolai Dobrovolsky. However, more than 90% of its turnover comes from the markets of America, Europe and Asia. Parallels software is installed on more than 3 million computers worldwide. More than 10 million small businesses receive hosting and cloud solutions from Parallels.
