According
to RIA Novosti, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Alexei Kazakov, prepared amendments to the law on mandatory registration and verification of information on blogs and websites with attendance of over 3000 users per day, which came into force on August 1, 2014.
Kazakov proposes to secure for bloggers not only duties, but also the rights of journalists, prescribing the relevant provisions in the law.
In particular, such a change in the law will allow bloggers to gain access to the information of state bodies and state organizations, as well as to have the right to compose and send official requests.

The newspaper Nezavisimaya Gazeta has already
announced criticism of the amendments to the Federation Council. According to the Deputy Chairman of the Council on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, Konstantin Dobrynin said that the adoption of amendments is impossible, since “anyone can become a blogger, even a State Duma deputy. But this does not mean that it should be subject to all the rights guaranteed by the law on the media. ”
