Saleforces App for Outlook - Microsoft and Salesforces joint product
At the end of the year, Microsoft and Salesforce announced a strategic partnership, and after discussing plans to create joint products, these companies presented the Salesforce App for Outlook.
The application was designed so that users of Outlook and Office 365 can simultaneously work with both mail and contacts and leads. So, for example, when a merchant receives an email from his client, he can access all the necessary information without having to interrupt the work with Outlook.
The product is available for free as part of Salesforces Enterprise Edition and is completely based on cloud computing, so no software is required to be installed. The application is compatible with Outlook 2013, Office 365, Outlook for Mac and Outlook Web App (OWA).
This is not the only collaborative application developed by Microsoft and Salesforce: companies are already working on integrating CRM with Excel and Power BI.
