Yandex.Money will process Russian-Chinese online payments
According to Vedomosti, the Yandex.Money payment system will handle cash transactions within the Chinese online platform TradeEase, created for cross-border trade between China and Russia, the joint statement of the two companies, submitted to the publication, says.
This summer, TradeEase will be launched by a joint venture between PayEase integrator, BoC Bank (Bank of China), Heilongjiang Provincial Finance Ministry and the Suifenhe government. The platform “will allow Chinese stores that trade at the border to sell their goods via the Internet.” Processing and delivery of orders will be engaged partners - TradeEase contractors.
At the start, 10 large sellers from Suifenhe and other provincial agglomerations will be connected to TradeEase. The initiators expect to grow to several hundred sellers within a month and up to a thousand by the end of the year.
In 2014, trade between Russia and the Heilongjiang Province exceeded $ 23 billion - a quarter of the total trade turnover between Russia and China. At the end of 2014 - the beginning of 2015, the trade turnover and tourist flow to China from the Russian side decreased markedly; with the opening of the Internet site, the authorities of the Chinese province intend to keep the business afloat.
