According
to Vedomosti, the Rosnano fund is investing about 500 million rubles in new technology companies in the field of 3D printing: the first is created with the participation of the Voronezh VSM Holding, and the second together with Laboratory Computational Mechanics (the city of St. Petersburg). The supervisory board of the fund approved the investment.
The representative of Rosnano, Anna Materova, said that no more than 340 million rubles would be invested in the first company. This company will be engaged in the production of 3D printers and products using 3D printing.
In the second company, Rosnano will invest about 200 million rubles, and Laboratory “Computational Mechanics” LLC - 150 million. The company's goal is to develop models and prototypes of complex parts, machine tools of the new generation and engine parts.

Over the past 3 years, the 3D printing market has grown by 32.3%. This direction is developing rapidly. According to Gartner, in 2017 the global market for the supply of 3D printers will increase to $ 5.7 billion. Private and corporate shipments of 3D printers will increase by 95.4%.
According to representatives of Rosnano, new technologies will improve the accuracy in the manufacture of complex parts, as well as produce monolithic parts, which previously consisted of several elements. Consumers of such products can be enterprises of industrial machine tools, automotive and medicine, manufacturers of electronics and consumer goods.
3D printing services are launched by many companies around the world. In the US, for example, Amazon has opened an online store for products created on a 3D printer. And the American company Local Motors has already managed to make an electric car using a 3D printer.
In Russia, these services are provided by small companies such as Unimix and Top3DShop. The initiative "Rosnano" can change this situation.
