LinkedIn with Careerify helps win battles for talent

LinkedIn, with more than three hundred million users, can be a much more useful service for companies and job seekers as a result of its latest acquisition of the startup Careerify, which was announced on March 16 .

Careerify software uses social networks accounts of employees of a client company in order to search for qualified employees for replaceable vacancies among employee contacts. With its other function, Careerify, in turn, helped working employees to see vacant positions in the company, in order to increase employee loyalty through a more transparent career opportunity. As part of LinkedIn, Careerify tools can bloom with a new power based on the huge LinkedIn user base, by the standards of a startup.

As the founder of the startup writes: “Careerify was founded with a bold mission: to destroy unemployment worldwide, enriching our customers. Today I am pleased to announce that we were acquired by LinkedIn.

We started this business in one of the worst crises of our time, where the metaphor of finding a needle in a haystack reflects the experience of finding a job for millions of candidates. In response to this challenge, we have developed a solution that allows real-time tracking of communications of company employees in social networks to find the best candidate for a job.

Previously, we did not have enough mass, and we decided to join LinkedIn. With the capabilities of the LinkedIn network, the customer base of the service grows by orders of magnitude.

Since we are working in the LinkedIn structure, the Careerify team will no longer focus on the internal needs of the company and will only continue to further improve its referral system.

Reportedly, Careerify services will still be available to current customers. List of which includes Deloitte, Groupon, Microsoft, SpaceX and Unilever.

Careerify was launched in 2009. The company currently has offices in San Francisco and Toronto.

Only three of the four members of the Careerify team join LinkedIn.
