Qiwi will not pay dividends for the fourth quarter of 2014

The company Qiwi plc, which owns the largest network of payment terminals in Russia, has decided not to pay dividends to shareholders for the fourth quarter of 2014, RBC reports .

Qiwi’s latest fiscal report states the following:
In the light of the current geopolitical difficulties around Russia and their negative impact on the economy and liquidity, the management believes it is correct not to declare dividend payments for the fourth quarter. We will return to this issue in each subsequent quarter with the intention to return to our historical payout levels.

The document separately emphasizes the possible deterioration of the company's business in the future due to the macroeconomic situation and the fall in consumer spending.

In total, in 2014, Qiwi paid out about 2.94 billion rubles to its own shareholders - one and a half times more than in 2013.
