MTS Company presented the results of its work in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2014, as part of an agreement on socio-economic cooperation in 2014-2016, signed within the framework of the 11th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum. According to the company, in 2014, over 1.2 billion rubles were invested in the development of the communications infrastructure in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Investments have improved the quality of communication in 100 locations in the region.
“As part of an agreement with the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, MTS planned to invest in the development of the network in the region a billion rubles annually during 2014-2016. At the moment, we are ahead of this schedule: for the year, investments in improving telecommunication equipment in the Krasnoyarsk Territory exceeded i1.2 billion. These figures are worthy of large-scale work to improve the quality of communication and increase the availability of modern telecom services for residents of the region. In particular, in 2014, the company doubled the number of 4G base stations and provided the fourth generation of 17 largest settlements of the Krasnoyarsk Territory with 75% of the population of the region with high-speed mobile Internet. last year, the company also upgraded half of the “third generation” base stations to increase data transfer speeds throughout the 3G MTS network in the Krasnoyarsk Territory to 42 Mbit / c, ”said Armen Avetisyan, Director of the MTS branch in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
