The Vimpelcom group of companies, including the Russian operator Vimpelcom (under the Beeline trademark), presented a report on their work for 2014. In the fourth quarter, revenues increased on average by 5%, that is, by 73.95 billion euros.
In the mobile segment, revenue for communication services remained unchanged, but in the fixed segment it increased by 15%, which amounted to 14.2 billion euros.

The main reason for growth is the fall of the ruble exchange rate. According to the vice-president of the company, Alexander Krasovsky, “VimpelCom cooperates with several Russian representative offices of foreign companies, which are used to calculating in dollars.
However, it is known that for the same IV quarter EBITDA (profit before taxes, depreciation expenses and interest on loans), on the contrary, decreased by 5%. Profitability decreased to 36.6%. The devaluation of the ruble had a negative impact on these indicators, as the costs of roaming and interconnect with foreign operators increased.
The number of mobile subscribers increased to 57.2 million, the number of broadband Internet users has not changed. The average voice traffic of the subscriber (MOU) increased by 8% and amounted to 316 minutes.
The general director of Vimpelcom, Mikhail Slobodin, is generally satisfied with the results of the work. During the year, revenues from mobile Internet increased by 20% (to 38.06 billion euros). As a result of measures to combat the “dishonest” incomes of third-party content providers, the level of customer satisfaction has become significantly higher.
