Yota and Revolta Motors have agreed to cooperate

Today, Yota and Revolta Motors announced that they have agreed to cooperate. Maxim Osorin from Revolta Motors and Yota CEO Anatoly Smorgonsky launched the project back in January of this year. Revolta Motors will build stations, having invested 100 million rubles in the project for 1.5-2 years, and the installation of each station will cost an average of half a million rubles.

Yota will provide free charging for customers at the first 20 refueling stations in Moscow and St. Petersburg throughout the year. The operator also undertakes to provide communication for each of the gas stations, network promotion and distribution of co-branded client cards for access to charging stations.

In exchange, Yota will be able to earn money on the provision of mobile Internet services to electric vehicle buyers from Revolta Motors.

The parties expect to pay back the project within 5-6 years.

Currently, preparations are underway for the opening of seven new stations in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and it is planned to open 100 stations each year.

The main factor hindering the development of the electric vehicle market is the shortage of working and conveniently located public charging stations for electric vehicles. So such a joint project can significantly spur interest in the industry in Russia.
