Google has overtaken Yandex on a mobile audience in major cities of Russia
The RBC, Elephant, and Vedomosti publications, citing the TNS Russia study in January, report that Google is the leader in terms of popularity among mobile device users in Russian cities with a population of over 700,000.
According to TNS, in January 2015, 12.7 million users visited Google pages, compared to 10.9 million people at Yandex.
The third most popular is VKontakte with 10.8 million mobile users. The top five closes YouTube and Mail.ru with an audience of 9.7 and 9.4 million, respectively.

This is the first such study conducted among mobile device users in major Russian cities.
