Google may pay € 320 million for tax evasion in Italy

According to the BBC , Google offers the Italian government to pay 320 million euros for tax evasion in 2008-2013. For example, the corporation registered advertising revenue in Bermuda and in Ireland, saving, thus, about 800 million euros, which were not paid as taxes to the Italian tax authorities.

Currently, according to representatives of the corporation, the settlement has not yet been reached, however, Google continues to actively cooperate with the tax authorities of Italy.

It is worth noting that at the end of last year, the Irish government decided to abandon the tax haven position that many corporations (including Amazon and Microsoft) used to reduce tax payments in other countries.

Not so long ago, representatives of the European Union reported that they are now considering the possibility of introducing a tax for Google and other large Internet companies registered in the United States.
