Kaspersky Lab has launched its own accelerator

Kaspersky Lab announced the opening of its own accelerator program called Security Startup Challenge .

Half of the accelerator, half of the start-up competition, the SSC was funded from the funds of Kaspersky Lab itself, Mangrove Capital Partners and the Russian ABRT Fund .

The field of information security is now on the rise, so it is not surprising that one of the world's largest companies working in this field has organized its program for funding and screening out the most interesting projects.

Unlike many other accelerators, the SSC does not have a physical office and is “completely” online. From participating in the program do not require to give a share of the company to participate in the program.

But, during the three months that the program lasts, the founders will have to feed themselves on their own. In March, accepting applications begins, in May the participants are determined, in August the program ends.

The final is held in the mode of pitching of judges at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the fund of $ 80,000: 50, 20 and 10 for the first, second and third place, respectively, is distributed among the three winners.

Online registration is already open and available until April 28th.
