Google responds with Apple Pay

Google announced partnerships with several major US wireless carriers. To counter the recent Apple offensive in the nascent mobile payment market, Google has negotiated with operators to preinstall their electronic payment system.

AT & T Mobility, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless will pre-install the Google Wallet app on all Android smartphones (from KitKat and above) sold in the United States. This was reported by the company in its official blog on Monday, February 23.

The Google app stores consumer credit or debit card information and allows buyers to pay for goods through NFC terminals.

Payment system launched on May 26, 2011. Previously, there was no significant success due to competing Softcard service. At the moment, the company has managed to buy some of the key technologies of Softcard and interest the partnership of telecom operators.

The competitive race was spurred from Apple, when Apple Pay mobile payment service appeared in the 6th line of iPhone smartphones.

Tap, tap. Who's there Google Wallet and Softcard!
