Habrahabr for PDA

Often, being in public transport, at lectures or somewhere else away from the computer, I read the news and watch the necessary information on my Pocket PC. And basically I visit sites adapted for mobile devices. However, it just so happened that the notorious HabraHabr is designed only for users of full-fledged PCs and it is painful and long to open Habr from the pickpocket.

I know that the theme of the mobile version of this project has been raised here more than once, but no one was able to offer a normal solution. And as we all understand, waiting for the official implementation from the developers of Habr is useless.

Therefore, I armed myself with my knowledge of PHP and regular expressions, I decided to make a mobile version of a habrahabr myself . It was a simple reader, but fast and convenient. In it you can see the latest 20 news from the main page and 20 news from new ones, plus the division into personal and collective blogs.

Pictures are proportionally compressed to the size of the PDA screen in a vertical orientation (i.e. no scrollbars), plus the picture quality decreases (JPEG QUALITY: 43), which makes loading faster. Podcasts can be downloaded from the link in MP3 format, but unfortunately, you will have to forget about Flash Video from YouTube / RuTube in the mobile version. I did not yet implement the display of comments, I first wanted to ask you: Is it necessary? Now you can watch the comments.

In general, we get our handhelds and open: habr.grublab.info

Attention! This is by no means an advertisement or something like that. Everything is provided absolutely disinterestedly.
If the developers of Habraharb are against or still release the official mobile version, I will immediately close this project.

By the way, if you're interested, in my next article I can describe the mechanism for implementing this script in PHP.

UPDATE # 1
Now you can view comments.
