The ru-Net fund has made two major deals since the beginning of the year
According to Vedomosti newspaper, Leonid Boguslavsky’s ru-Net venture capital fund has made two significant investments since the beginning of the year:
The Russian company Mamsy.ru, which sells children's goods, raised another round of investments of $ 15 million, with a total business valuation of $ 55 million. 45% of the company is controlled by Baring Vostok Capital Partners and ru-Net. Mamsy.ru revenue in 2014 amounted to about 2 billion rubles.
The Delivery Hero Food Delivery and Delivery Service on Saturday drew 496 million euros from the Rocket Internet incubator, which bought 30% of the entire business from a startup, while evaluating the entire business at 1.65 billion euros. The ru-Net fund participated in the previous (January) round, having invested more than 10 million euros in assessing the business (as of January) of 1 billion euros.
In September 2014, the ru-Net foundation also participated in the $ 33 million B-round of the Indian startup FreeCharge.
Vedomosti cites Inventure Partners managing partner Sergey Azatyan with the words that Russian venture funds are increasingly investing in Western companies. Currently, the share of investments in domestic startups is about 20-30% of the funds, although last year this figure reached 70%.
