From plan to clan: social networks and civil society
According to a number of prominent researchers in post-socialist countries, these countries are not faced with a plan or market dilemma. The clan or market dilemma is also alien to them. The strategy of their development involves the formation of a more developed modern economy through the clan. Accordingly, the metaphor “from plan to clan” means a departure from the planned economic system in favor of the clan system, in which “groups of mutual support and mutual assistance” play a large role, and co-ownership of share capital and mutual credit relations are held together by friendly, friendly or kinship ties.
