In Russia, proposed to introduce a "tax on the Internet"

The Russian Union of Rights Holders (RSP) proposed to introduce a tax on the Internet. So, it is possible that soon we will pay 25 rubles per month for using the Internet. Or 300 rubles per year. Thus, RSP wants to protect Internet content from piracy and illegal downloading.
And you will have to pay for each channel of access to the network. “If you have Wi-Fi internet at home, and you also have a 3G phone, then you pay twice for the Internet and global license,” said Sergei Fedotov, RSP CEO. At the same time, he clarified that the new fee will annually bring in the budget about 860 million dollars.
By the way, the first country in the world that introduced a similar tax is Hungary.
