The coolest competition with a ridiculous award

The Ministry of Defense holds the “ All-Russian competition of research works among citizens of the Russian Federation in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”.

The competition is held on the basis of the order of the distinguished Minister of Defense Serdyukov.

The most interesting thing, as always, is in the annex to the order - the Word document .
The prize fund of the contest consists of three cash prizes:
- first prize of 40,000 rubles;
- The second prize in the amount of 25,000 rubles;
- the third prize in the amount of 15 000 rubles.
For the promotion of works that did not win prizes, but marked by the competition commission as the most promising, two special awards of 10,000 rubles each are additionally introduced.

A simple calculation shows that the Ministry of Defense allocated as much as 100,000 rubles to get ideas for solving problems of strengthening the country's defense capability !
Surely the salary of the people making up this document is more than the entire prize fund.

Applications for participation in the competition will be accepted from October 8 to December 8, 2012.

In accordance with Article 226 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation, the organizer of the competition withholds the amount of income tax directly from the winner’s cash bonus when the cash bonus is actually paid.
