The head of the Crimea at the opening of the school was shown a computer class with some monitors

It seems the Soviet thirst for ostentation is ineradicable. Yesterday, on one of the Ukrainian news sites there was a funny news .

During the opening of the school in the Crimea, in the village of Lenino, with the participation of the head of the Council of Ministers of the autonomy, Anatoly Mogilev, schoolchildren sat at the monitors that were not connected to the system units of computers.

The Prime Minister of Crimea drew attention to the fact that computers with monitors, but without keyboards, were installed in the computer science office.
')
“I hope that at school you will install computers not only with monitors, but also with keyboards,” said Mogilyov.

But as you can see in the photographs, the computers lack not only keyboards, but also the computers themselves ... there were monitors on the desks, whereas nowhere near the system blocks are visible. And the monitors themselves were turned off altogether.

The day before yesterday I learned from my girlfriend that in Kiev, schools are recruiting English teachers for volunteers at Euro 2012, apparently a solemn promise to teach all police officers to communicate in English has run into a harsh reality.

It remains to hope that at least the stadiums themselves will have enough safety margin, after all the recoils and cuts, in order not to fall apart right during Euro 2012.
