An “Information Technology Development Party” is being created

In the light of recent developments in terms of IT development prospects in our country, the initiative group made a proposal to create a subject, whose program will include:

Internal policy

1. Recognition of information technology as a key area for the effective development of the Russian Federation
2. Recognition of information technology as a priority area for the security of the Russian Federation.
3. Creation of a separate Ministry of Informatization within the framework of the Government of the Russian Federation
4. Creation of a separate committee of the State Duma on informatization
5. Promotion of the Open Data concept (any non-information information should be easily accessible for every citizen of the Russian Federation)
6. Creating a unified state policy on IT and IB
7. Creation of IT and information security development programs by industry (medicine, public sector, etc.)
8. Develop a program to support domestic IT / IB development as part of an IT and IB development program.
9. Creation of a committee with the participation of party members on the comprehensive revision of legislation in order to exclude provisions that hinder the effective development of IT and IB
10. Recognition of international IT and IS standards at the state level and confirmation of their sufficiency
11. Creation of a state program for training specialists in IT and IS related fields
12. (Position on piracy and on protection of intellectual property - not yet clear, is being discussed)
13. Simplification of the referendum procedure
14. Creating a program to build the country's IT brand

Foreign policy

1. Creating a state cyber security program with the creation of special units capable of conducting effective cyber war.

At the moment, there is an assessment of the number of people supporting the initiative (at least 500 people are needed to talk about the possibility of creating such a party) and a discussion of the main theses. The official page is only on Facebook
