We present you a new version of Yandex. Map. Work on it is not finished yet, therefore we are opening a separate project - “Yandex . Maps beta” .



What is Yandex.Maps beta ?



This is a new interface - from a set of separate maps of regions and city maps we have compiled a single map, and at the moment it is the most detailed online map of Russia. It includes 53 regions of the European part, 1: 200 000 in the scale of the “paper atlas”, regions of Siberia and the Far East in the scale of 1: 1 000 000 and maps of 14 large cities with home accuracy.

Yandex.Maps beta is an opportunity for users to influence the world for the better. Of course, as often happens with maps, our map contains a number of inaccuracies - now it is fixable! We have developed a special function - “Report us an error”, with its help everyone will be able to mark problem areas directly on the map. We intend to use the reports of inaccuracies collected in this way to regularly correct the map.



And the second news is that satellite images of the whole world appeared on our service.

Now you can find out what they look like from space: Lake Baikal , the structure of Rishat (Mauritania) and many other amazing places on the planet.



We do not plan to dwell on this, soon expect new features, new features, new maps, new surprises. We will be grateful for your feedback, suggestions and suggestions!
