Yote returned the frequencies previously issued and again selected by Roskomnadzor, according to
tape.ru and
newspaper.ru .
This is one of two frequency bands in the range from 2.5 to 2.7 GHz, which the Roskomnadzor decided on July 27 to withdraw from Yota. On August 26, Yota filed a counterclaim, alleging the illegality of weaning frequencies. In addition, the execution of this order will lead to the shutdown of 67 thousand subscribers and 63 base stations. In this range, Yota still has another 40 MHz wide band, however, additional frequencies are required to expand the network and scale up the business in the future.
On August 30, Yota tested the LTE network in Kazan, but yesterday, September 1, it was closed by Roscomnodzor. “Roskomnadzor carries out an inspection in order to determine which equipment and according to what standard the Scartel network operates in Kazan. According to the results of the audit, a decision will be made in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, ”said the representative of Roskomnadzor, Mikhail Vorobyov.
“We are pleased that the court heard our arguments and took interim measures. This means that we can use all the frequencies assigned to us at least until the end of the trial, ”commented Denis Sverdlov, general director of Scartel.
