Copyright issue

I have a question for the habrasoobschestvu.

I want to write a small interactive game for the Western market based on the work of one of the famous writers (for example, R. Jelazny "9 Princes Amber" / R.Zilazny "Nine Princes in Amber").

Can I:
1) Use the name of the author and the name of the work.
2) Use quotes and excerpts from the book.
