WebHiTech: the results of the first three months of work
Today, exactly three months have passed since the start date of accepting applications for the technological competition of WebHiTech sites, aimed at supporting the dissemination of modern web standards in RuNet.
With the onset of summer, the intensity of the flow of applications, as expected, somewhat decreased, however, more than 200 applications have now been received, and more than 100 sites have become contest nominees .
It is worth noting that the mission of the competition - to make the Runet better - is realized before the eyes of the organizing committee now, long before the final results are announced and the winners are awarded. Developers of dozens of nominated sites improve their offspring, guided by reviews of the selection committee, and inform us about the work done. And the owners of several sites that were not allowed to participate in the competition from the first time “came to retake” with significantly improved and sometimes radically reworked versions of their projects, having achieved their inclusion in the list of nominees.
Despite the fact that there are already more than a hundred nominees, and the competition can be fully recognized as having taken place, we believe that there are a lot more than a hundred websites run with respect for the spirit of modern web standards: the purity and validity of the code, the concept of content sharing and presentation , to semantic markup, to cross-browser compatibility, to the issues of ensuring the availability of content and services for the widest possible range of users ...
