SocialRank updated indices and ratings

The social-analytical agency SocialRank in the last few weeks is “on the ball ”: the company introduced several new indices, such as the Global Brands Index , Tech Media Index and Tech Companies Index , which allow you to track trends in each of the specified categories based on Twitter activity data.

At the end of last week Tech Startups Index was added to them - there are 86 companies in it, this list is based on the World's Most Valuable Startups rating , which is updated and published by Fred Wilson, Wilam Mugayar and Wall Street Journal.

In particular, this means that in the new Social Rank index one can find data on the most interesting private companies of recent times, such as Uber, Snapchat, Airbnb, GitHub, Dropbox and Slack.

As might be expected, the level of user interaction with brands in the new index differs from the same index by the largest technology giants. In the first place - the fact that geographically the campaigns are more localized and not so “spread” on the world map. 31% of Twitter followers of companies in the index live in California, 23% in the United Kingdom and another 23% in New York - these data are also indicative of the emergence and spread of new ideas and technology companies.

Also, comparing the two indices among themselves: Tech Companies and Tech Startups, it becomes obvious that the followers of smaller companies have much more incentive to respond to updates. If we compare the general reaction to news events and promotions distributed via Twitter, the basic rule works as usual - the bigger the company, the more widely its information spreads on social networks.
