Good afternoon, colleagues! We are pleased to present to your attention the Machine Learning Hackathon , which will be held in Moscow from May 21-22, 2016!
Machine learning is gaining in popularity today. Its capabilities provide solutions for improving customer service, predicting and preventing equipment failures, increasing operational efficiency, and preventing fraud. Previously, companies could only use internal on-premise solutions for business forecasting, due to which analytical processes took weeks or even months. This required the involvement of skilled labor and high cash costs. In addition, programming languages for statistical computing have not yet been well studied and distributed, which is why machine learning remained inaccessible to very many companies.

Making machine learning technologies accessible to a large number of users has been made possible by launching the new Azure Machine Learning service, which allows creating models in a matter of hours that determine the likelihood of an event using data stored in SQL Server and other platforms, including Microsoft Azure HDInsight, Hadoop.
