Among the invited lecturers are:
In addition to introductory courses, a wide range of issues related to the “Internet of Things” concept will be covered, ranging from user interface design and application behavior adaptation depending on data from various sensors to the specifics of application design for working under conditions of limited battery power and wireless signal interference.
Accepting applications from students, graduate students and young scientists extended until May 6, 2016. You can apply for participation on the website: https://msrprograms.cloudapp.net/SSIoT2016/ . “Summer schools have always been devoted to the most pressing topics of computer science and software engineering: verification, high-performance computing, computer vision, algorithms for processing large amounts of data, cloud computing, machine learning and intelligence. This year, the theme of the summer school will be “Internet of Things”, a concept that I am sure will play a large role in shaping the image of human interaction with the information environment in the future. The school will raise current issues and problems of the Internet of things, especially the scientific aspects of this area, ” said Dmitry Khalin, Technical Director of Microsoft in Russia.
Microsoft summer schools have traditionally enjoyed the interest of students: from year to year the number of applications submitted is steadily increasing. Applicants must provide examples of their scientific work, evidence
independent research activities in the form of articles, term papers, dissertations and other types of work, a description of the prototype of research projects, letters of recommendation, etc. In the past (2015), over 1300 applications were received, of which only 80 young scientists were selected. It is noteworthy that more than a third of the participants were women.
For seven years, almost 500 students, graduate students and young scientists from all over the world took part in Microsoft Summer Schools in Russia. They got access to the most up-to-date scientific research in their core fields, were able to communicate with leading world scientists and exchange experience with each other.
