Firebird 3.0 released

Firebird 3.0 , the sixth major release of Firebird DBMS, was released today, and it is also the most significant in scale of changes since the release of version 1 in 2002 ,.
The Firebird 3.0 architecture has been redesigned and now fully supports multithreading with scaling to hundreds of cores, a large amount of RAM is effectively supported. According to the results of OLTP load tests that simulate intensive insertions and changes, the speed of work in scenarios with hundreds of users in Firebird 3.0, compared with 2.5, increased by ~ 5 times.
