Code who live: Livecoding.tv launched an online hackathon to create your application

One of our foreign friends, known to you, I hope, Livecoding.tv service, today launched a competition to create their own mobile application. Blog Cloud4Y is an information sponsor of the project in Russia.

Since This is an online broadcasting service for coding, and the competition is announced online - i.e. development should be conducted live. Then, even if it fails to do better than others, at least you can win a prize for the most interesting broadcast.

If you still have not heard about Livecoding.tv , then, in short, this is Twitch (well, about Tweet, do you know ?) For programmers. Yes, live coding is now fashionable.
')
To get an idea it was easier, we can ask some of the Russian-speaking coders:

In principle, the competition is the same hackathon, but for extroverts. Under the conditions , the broadcast can be done in your own language, but I think the chances of winning in this case will be lower, because the majority of the service audience is still English-speaking - accordingly, they will not be able to watch and evaluate the Russian-language broadcast. On the other hand, the average English should be enough to keep the stream.

The application does not need to repeat all the functions of the site - the main thing is that the most basic work: user page, list of streams, video page, schedule, search and so on.

Participants can start streaming from today. The contest will last a month and will end on May 15th. The winner will be chosen by the community by voting on the Livecoding.tv blog in three nominations:

The application must be created using the Livecoding API .

It would be better, of course, the prizes swapped. Why does the iOS developer need another iPad, and the android another droid?

The entire application development process should be broadcast on Livecoding.tv. This will help instructions for the tape drive .

As a result, the main elements of the service should be present:

The result will be needed in the form of an installation binary (ipa or apk), independently uploaded to the Playstore or the Appstore. Android emulation will use GenyMotion and Manymo, for iOS - Xcode.

More details all the conditions .

Registration for the competition .

All additional questions can be asked on the box streamers@livecoding.tv

That's all. Who decides to participate - send links to comments, we'll see.
