JetBrains is looking for a technical evangelist with Java experience

Hello!

My name is Andrey Cheptsov, I work at JetBrains as marketing manager for IntelliJ IDEA. JetBrains develops tools for programmers: IntelliJ IDEA, ReSharper, TeamCity, Kotlin and others . Although I am responsible for product marketing, my position has a very indirect relationship to marketing in the traditional sense of the word. We respect developers and do not stoop to manipulative marketing. The best marketing of our products is always an honest story about how they work and how to use them. Honesty helps to earn trust.

Now we are looking for a technical evangelist in IntelliJ IDEA team, who would create educational materials: documentation, lessons, examples and articles for IntelliJ IDEA users and just Java programmers. By communicating closely with IDE developers and users, a technical evangelist takes responsibility for writing and maintaining IDE documentation. This means working daily with the technologies and tools supported by the IDE to create examples, instructions and lessons.

We do not have strict requirements, but we believe that the evangelist should have experience in Java development, good English, and he should be interested in learning. Since the development is associated with a large number of technologies, it is important not only to teach others, but also to constantly study and try new things yourself.

JetBrains does not have a strict hierarchical structure . Most often, each, working in a team, independently determines the range of their tasks, their importance and level of their own responsibility. Perhaps this structure is not suitable for everyone, but it works in JetBrains.

UPDATE: Vacancy opened in St. Petersburg, Russia.

If I managed to interest you, we are waiting for your letter with a story about yourself at this address job@jetbrains.com. I will be happy to answer questions in the comments and in personal messages.
